The M.Body Review

The first 2 Showings of M.Body at the Producers Club NYC on Oct. 21-23 and the Titus Walker Ujaama Black Theatre @ The Times Square Arts Center continues to be a learning experience that goes a long way towards helping us in making the necessary moves I feel this show is ready to become as successful and prosperous as the light can shine all the way from the dark. The audiences that have come through each of the showings are the ones I love to thank for their input and continual support through it all because you all are what's making this possible. The educational aspect of what this show brings definitely speaks to all in that the learning keeps on moving, always telling us to know thyself in order to move thyself in the process of doing anything we each want incl. having teaching lessons on each of the embodied men in the as well as others not incorporated so,hit the books and listen on. Putting in the work as the Associate Producer for M.Body have been an experience that I enjoy every moment of and confidently shines on what's ahead of me while keeping the learning on,so it's something much bigger than us that is moving M.Body with love, peace and blessings speaking as calm as the rolling sea of the Creator...Namaste!!!! Ashay!!!! Amen!!!! Actor Ronald "Rondevu" Haynie shows while making things move in the Character of Barry Hinds that anything you do on your own path, there's a struggle in all aspects flowing as one to accept who you are and there's triumph to communicate on of which he's always fighting on & keeps it going. I love you brotha and always exciting to work with you!!!!
I encourage all to keep on with the spread about this show as we're doing it for Black History Month as well as my own interview with Ronald Haynie that's to come soon,so stay tuned....Peace,Love,Vybz & always make it do what it do your way!!!!

SEPTEMBER 1, 2011 ON THE MIC THURSDAY'S @ REFLECTION MANOR

    •      A lady blurted out "MESHA YA MAD," spoken in her dialect of Jamaica. "I get goose bumps, whenever I hear her sing," stated one of her fans. "Queen Mesha is the next female voice of reggae music. I need her song, Leave Me Alone, on a dub plate," stated Bobo Rems. Obviously, Queen Mesha's voice and Gideon Band impaled the hearts of their audience, like a javelin. She romanced their ears with her diverse vocal range, while the band illustrated confidence with the sound from their instruments, which resulted in a standing ovation. "Are you ready for me to go home?" Queen Mesha asked the enthusiastic crowd. Without a surprise they responded with NO's, which echoed through Reflection Manor. Her overall stage presence was sufficiently great, especially when she created the remix to Digging by Station Underground.

Station Underground's cd release back yard jam will take place at Skiebo's, on September 10, 2011. He performed for ON THE MIC THURSDAY'S numerous times. Contact him (646-353-7947) for more information. Also on September 10th, MS Music presents album release party for Ghost (reggae artist). Contact Lively w/ One Don Sound for more information. Another event to recommend is Unite & Be Strong presented by Linkage Radio, on September 16, 2011. Live performance by Turbulence The Future, Khalilah Rose, Kapa Shanti and more. For more information on the live concert, contact 347-382-4295. The purpose of the mentioned events is to bring awareness; we need to endeavor to support each other's events, when it's a positive cause. If possible, give a donation if you are not able to attend.

Hopefully, you will be exposed to the same full of life mannerisms, as ON THE MIC THURSDAY's with Aminatu, Dice and Ras Atiba. Promoters, Live Performers, Designers, DJ's and etc, the goal is to stimulate growth in our communities. Sometimes we make change of familiarity, difficult for ourselves. Please make necessary adjustments for the generations to come. If we do not get to the core of ourselves, how can we expect greatness from our youth? "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” as stated by Harold McAlindon. How many promoters or event planners do you know, at the end of the event; ask you (man and woman) how are you getting home? If you ever attended ON THE MIC, highest commendations go to Aminatu, Dice and Ras Atiba, for their consideration.

The ON THE MIC THURSDAY'S family would like to thank the vendors, photographers, models and everyone whom participated in the creation for September 1st.
      • MiMi (earring designer 347 589 9403) The handmade feathered earrings were gorgeous.

      • Troy Campbell "The Pot" (Chef) kept the dinner at the perfect temperatures through the am hours. His food is worth a visit to Reflection Manor for ON THE MIC. Contact Troy (347 336 1855 or troycampbell007@yahoo.com) to cater to your vegetarian or other cravings. He will have dinner ready for you, after your work hours.

      • Richknits Designs (RichKnits Morris on Facebook) showcased her swimwear and sexy dresses on models of distinct statures. Contact her to purchase a one of a kind outfit.

      • Shaun Walsh from Whatz Up NY. He zoomed in all the action, for the event. Please view his work on youtube or Facebook.

Gaddie G and Little J are the featured artists for ON THE MIC Thursday's, September 8th. Other local entertainers will perform, along with a fashion showcase by Rastafari Clothing. EVERY THURSDAY at Reflection Manor (3411 Church Ave bt 34th & 35th), ON THE MIC is visited by new guest. Will you be the next new face, this Thursday?
